Introduction

MEST2023 extends an invitation to prospective authors from universities and diverse organizations to contribute papers within the realm of mechanical engineering, manufacturing, materials sciences, and related interdisciplinary engineering domains. This conference is an integral component of the broader event series known as the International Summit on Science, Technology, and Humanity (ISETH) 2023, which is organized by Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta.

The 7th Mechanical Engineering, Science and Technology (MEST2023) stands as an annual gathering hosted by the Mechanical Department at Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. Authors representing universities and various entities are encouraged to submit their research papers. The conference serves as a platform for scholarly exchange, offering swift presentations of articles encompassing experimental, numerical, and theoretical investigations that illuminate pivotal subjects including internal flow in mechanical, thermal, and fluid systems, aerothermodynamics, heat and mass transfer, multiphase flow, turbulence modelling, combustion, engineering thermodynamics, thermophysical properties of materials, as well as measurement and visualization techniques.
